Youth Program (Ages 6-12)

The youth program (ages 6 to 12) is designed to develop techniques to build a sound mind and healthy body for children.  Our program teaches important skills to help children build a strong foundation in their lives.  Students and parents have reported dramatic increases in self-confidence, grades, focus, weight control, strength, balance, discipline, and respect.  These skills help young children in overcoming the everyday obstacles they face; from bullying and resisting peer pressure to preparing for class projects and so much more.  

Here at ROAR, we are committed to working with our students and parents to provide positive outcomes.  Our only rule for the Kids Program is that they must do well at home, at school, and here at ROAR in order to be promoted.  The emphasis on home and school is very important so that the child can stay on task, stay disciplined, and focus while understanding that the Taekwondo classes are a privilege.  We are here as support for them and their parents but their education must come first. 

   


   
It’s true that Taekwondo will keep your child physically fit and that many of the group activities show children the benefits of good behavior.  But, best of all, your child’s class curriculum will also help them see the value of teamwork, good manners and trying their best outside of the classroom.

Taekwondo will improve your child’s basic motor skills, as well as your child’s positive mental skills. These skills will help your child enter society with a confident and enthusiastic outlook. Your child will become a better student in school, a better listener at home and feel more ambitious towards his/her future goals.
